The Bartlein Carbon Fiber Wrapped Barrel Blank combines the legendary accuracy of Bartlein’s cut-rifled barrels with modern carbon fiber technology to create a lightweight yet extremely rigid barrel platform. Bartlein Barrels are widely respected throughout the precision rifle community and are used by competitive shooters, custom rifle builders, and military teams around the world. Their barrels are produced using single-point cut rifling, a process known for creating extremely uniform bore geometry while minimizing internal stress in the steel. This results in excellent consistency, repeatability, and long-term accuracy potential.

Each Bartlein carbon barrel begins with a precision cut-rifled stainless steel barrel core, which is drilled, reamed, honed, and rifled to extremely tight tolerances. The barrel core is then wrapped in high-strength carbon fiber that significantly reduces overall barrel weight while maintaining rigidity. Compared to traditional all-steel barrels of similar contour, carbon wrapped barrels can provide approximately 20–25% weight reduction, making them extremely attractive for lightweight hunting rifles and backcountry builds.

Bartlein carbon barrels are available in multiple calibers, twist rates, contours, and finished lengths, allowing gunsmiths to configure the barrel for specific cartridges and rifle platforms. Common contours include configurations similar to Remington Varmint/Sendero and M24/M40 profiles, which provide excellent rigidity while still maintaining reduced weight. Because these are supplied as unfinished barrel blanks, they allow a gunsmith to cut the chamber, thread the muzzle, and machine the tenon to match the exact action and cartridge specifications of the rifle being built.
