Gunsmiths purpose-built this 20” 7 Backcountry barreled action for mountain hunters and long-range precision shooters, creating a lightweight powerhouse that performs in the most demanding environments. They combine the rugged performance of our Viking Armament Outlaw stainless action with a 20” Benchmark carbon barrel, tuning this setup for field carry without compromising on accuracy.
The stainless Outlaw action delivers smooth cycling and reliable lockup, crafted with exacting tolerances to anchor your build with confidence. It’s perfectly paired with a 20” Benchmark Sendero-contour carbon fiber barrel in a 1:8 twist, optimized for the high-BC projectiles that make the 7 Backcountry such a standout cartridge. This carbon barrel offers substantial weight savings without sacrificing barrel harmonics or precision.
To manage recoil and maintain fast follow-up shots, we’ve installed a gunsmith-timed 4-port MB&M muzzle brake. The split Picatinny rail allows for modular optic mounting options, giving you flexibility for hunting or tactical applications. The VA bolt knob adds both form and function with enhanced control under all conditions. Finished in a sleek black Cerakote, this system is built to resist the elements and look sharp doing it.
